Pollution Insights Tool

There is a lot of work being done globally to build and launch satellites to create more air quality data. However, accessing that data and applying it to local conditions can be difficult -- especially for cities with less resources and technical capability.

The CanAIRy Alert Insights tool provides air quality practitioners with a way to use satellite data outputs to visualize pollution plumes on a city scale, allowing for a better understanding of the major sources and distribution of air pollution around the city. The insights tool can also provide more information on air quality in places where surface measurements are not available.

This tool is being co-developed with partners in Nairobi.
